Medstar Ambulance of Mendocino County Inc. ("Medstar," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We collect information you voluntarily provide when requesting information, registering for training events, enrolling in membership programs, or applying for employment. This includes:
- Identifiers: Name, postal address, email address, and telephone/mobile numbers.
- Sensitive Information: Date of birth and Social Security Number where required for verification of age or employment eligibility.
- Payment Data: Financial information (such as credit/debit card numbers) provided for memberships or services. These payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant third-party processors; we do not store full payment card details on our internal systems.
3.2 Automated Collection
We automatically collect usage data, such as IP addresses, to help diagnose technical problems and analyze demographic trends.
3.3 Surveillance and Recording
For the safety of our staff and the public, and for quality assurance, we may record telephone calls and maintain video/audio surveillance on Medstar properties (offices, stations, training facilities, and parking areas) and within and outside of Medstar vehicles.
4. SMS/MMS Communications (10DLC)
By opting in to receive text messages, you agree to receive communications regarding inquiries you initiate, account-related updates for members or event registrants, and—for employees—call data (CAD paging) and shift notifications. Message and data rates may apply.
Privacy Commitment: Mobile phone information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any message received.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with employees, agents, and third-party service providers (such as hosting, database management, and telecommunications providers) only as needed to facilitate our services. We may disclose your information when legally required to do so, such as in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
